Coding Teacher

Join Our Team as a Coding Teacher 
(Casual / Part-time)

Are you passionate about coding and eager to share your knowledge with the next generation? We’re looking for talented and enthusiastic coding teachers to join our Future Innovation Centre. As a coding teacher (instructor), you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping young minds and empowering them with essential coding skills.
Position: Coding Teacher (casual / part-time)
Location: In person
  • Deliver interactive coding lessons to students of all ages, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual students’ diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and teaching materials for Scratch and Python, catering to students at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.
  • It is a big advantage if you are knowledgeable/experienced in AI/Machine Learning/Big Data/Data Science. You will utilise this expertise to develop lesson plans in the areas, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer support to ensure each student achieves their learning goals.
  • Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance your teaching practice and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to all centre policies and procedures, particularly those concerning child safety and protection.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Computing, Informatics, or a related field. Other certificates related to Python/Scratch/AI/Machine Learning/Big Data/Data Science are advantages for you. Diploma holders in the relevant fields are also acceptable.
  • Teaching Experience: None. However, for those who have at least one year of experience teaching coding to children, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Coding Experience: None. However, it gives advantage for those who have at least two years of hands-on experience with coding languages such as Python, Scratch, and/or related languages.
  • Communication: Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
